Woods

Last week, I went out and took some pictures in our tiny woods near my house. I was skeptical at first that I wasn’t going to find anything special (and I didn’t) but that didn’t mean it would look bad photographed!

First, I did the classic focus-and-blur standpoint.

Then, I tried a different angle, like my photography insturctor from two years ago told me.

Then, I came across the above little tree that had the coolest bark! So I took a close up and let the bark be the star of the show:

After that, the woods were pretty much photographed out. Actually, if we’d like to be realistic, it’s less of a “woods” and more like a “cluster of small trees”. So.

Then, I decided I needed more material. So I went to the two cherry trees (you can actually see them in the background of the picture above – just two trees standing next to each other) and took some pictures, since they were blooming and looking fabulous.

The blossoms were actually quite pretty and very similar to peach tree buds, just white instead of pink.IMG_3285.JPG

It’s always nice to photograph flowers and trees when the sky is blue – it gives you a good backdrop.IMG_3295.JPG

This morning, I went for a run, and I had to take some pictures. It was so pretty!IMG_3307.JPG

And that’s it! It was very pretty that day. I’m still trying to figure out what to take pictures of next…
